Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has condemned the Israeli regime's recent decision to confiscate and register Palestinian lands in the West Bank as 'state lands' under its sovereignty.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a statement late on Wednesday, Baqaei described the Israeli regime's measures in seizing Palestinian lands in the West Bank as a continuation of a genocidal policy against Palestinians, and part of the colonial plan to eliminate Palestine.

He urged the international community and all UN member states to recognize their responsibility to address this situation and to put an end to the impunity of the Israeli regime.

Baqaei also pointed to the explicit condemnation of such an illegal and criminal act by the Israeli regime from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and most countries.

He stressed the need for the United Nations to take decisive and effective action to fulfill its legal and moral obligations in response to the ongoing severe violations of the rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their rights to life and self-determination.
