Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has criticized the United States, the Israeli regime, and Argentina for opposing key United Nations anti-terrorism resolutions. In a post on his X account, Baqaei highlighted several resolutions adopted by the United Nations General Assembly over the past year concerning the fight against terrorism and other international crimes, noting the opposition of the United States, the Israeli regime, and Argentina to those resolutions.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei pointed out the UNGA resolution on the Global Counter-TERRORISM Strategy, which was adopted by an overwhelming majority on July 1, 2026, with only Israel, the US, and Argentina voting against it. He also mentioned the UNGA resolution on declaring the transatlantic SLAVE TRADE as a CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY, adopted on March 25, 2026, and the resolution on countering TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS, adopted on December 18, 2025. Both resolutions saw opposition from the same three countries.

Additionally, Baqaei referred to the UNGA resolution on TERRORISM AND HUMAN RIGHTS, which was also adopted on December 18, 2025, with Israel, the US, and Argentina being the only nations voting against it. The spokesperson's remarks underscore Iran's disapproval of these countries' stance on significant international issues.
