Iran Defense Minister Challenges Trump’s Anti-Iran Rhetoric

Baku:The newly appointed defense minister of Iran, Mehrdad Akhlaghi-Ketabchi, has responded to recent threats from U.S. President Donald Trump. Akhlaghi-Ketabchi stated that Iran has already devised the necessary measures to counter any potential threats from the United States. He warned that if Trump's threats escalate from rhetoric to action, the U.S. would face significant consequences.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Akhlaghi-Ketabchi made these remarks to reporters during a parliamentary vote-of-confidence session. He emphasized that Iran is prepared for any developments and suggested that Trump should focus on safely withdrawing U.S. forces from the region.

Akhlaghi-Ketabchi further cautioned that any aggressive move by dropping a bomb would lead to U.S. troops needing evacuation in body bags. He asserted that this potential outcome is likely why Trump has so far limited himself to verbal threats without taking military action.
