Iran Engages in Strategic Talks with European Nations: Deputy Foreign Minister Highlights Negotiation Framework

Tehran: Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi has revealed that Iran is actively engaging in negotiations with European countries. In a recent interview with Alahad TV, Takht-e-Ravanchi emphasized the mutual interest of both parties to advance these discussions, stating that a framework for negotiations has been firmly established and will be adhered to in order to reach a comprehensive agreement.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Takht-e-Ravanchi addressed the persistent threats from the US and Israel, asserting that while these threats are not unprecedented, both nations are acutely aware of Iran's capabilities. He warned that any imprudent actions by the United States and Israel would lead to severe repercussions.

Furthermore, Takht-e-Ravanchi mentioned that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has delineated the overarching framework for negotiations with the US, which Iranian officials are committed to following. Reflecting on past negotiations, he recalled the complex discussions during President Hassan Rouhani's tenure that led to an agreement with the UN Security Council's five permanent members and Germany. He noted that the US's failure to honor this agreement under both President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump remains a significant point of contention for Iran.

Addressing the situation in Syria, Takht-e-Ravanchi expressed Iran's keen observation of developments in the region and its aspiration for the restoration of security. He urged other nations to avoid interference in Syria's internal matters, highlighting Iran's commitment to regional stability.
