Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has condemned the latest economic threats issued by US officials, saying President Donald Trump's claim of an 'Economic D-Day' aims to divert attention from America's deepening financial crisis. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi responded to the latest economic threats by US officials against Iran in a post on his X account on Thursday, sharing images that depicted the US national debt surpassing 40 trillion dollars.

He emphasized, 'The so-called 'Economic D-Day' is a diversion from America's own crisis: unprecedented debt and surging interest costs.' Araghchi warned that, 'Doubling down on failed policies will only bring further defeat-and enmity of Iranians. US economic terrorism threatens global economy and sovereignty worldwide.'

Araghchi's remarks came in reaction to Trump's recent allegation that the United States is launching an unprecedented economic operation against Iran and warning that countries and institutions assisting Tehran would face severe consequences.
