Iran Imposed Its Will on the U.S. and Israel, Maintains Close Surveillance: Chief Commander

Tehran: The chairman of the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces has stated that Iran has imposed its will on the United States and Israel, warning that both nations are under close surveillance. Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi made the remarks in a statement on Thursday, highlighting the dynamics between Iran and these two nations.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Major General Mousavi asserted that the Israeli regime, with support from the United States, launched an attack on Iran, which was met with a forceful response from the Iranian Armed Forces. He claimed that despite media censorship efforts by Israel, evidence indicates that significant military and strategic facilities in Israel were destroyed.

Mousavi reiterated that Iran has consistently maintained it will not initiate conflict, but if attacked, it will be the force to conclude it. He emphasized that in the latest conflict, initiated by the Zionist regime with U.S. intervention, Western entities, especially NATO, provided intelligence, logistics, and operational support to Israel.

The Iranian defense chief highlighted Iran’s success in halting enemy advances using domestically-developed missile and drone technology, which proved effective against what were once considered ‘impenetrable’ air defenses. He noted that residents of occupied Palestine could not find safety, even in bunkers, under the Iranian military’s counteractions.

Mousavi accused the United States of attacking Iran’s nuclear sites in an attempt to aid Israel, but noted that Iran’s retaliatory strike on the al-Udeid base demonstrated the steadfastness of the Iranian Armed Forces. Through certain regional countries, the U.S. allegedly sought to end the conflict and conceded to Iran’s terms.

He issued a warning that Iran keeps a vigilant watch over its adversaries, and any repeat of strategic errors will result in their downfall.

The conflict escalated on June 13 when Israel launched an assault on Iran, resulting in several casualties among military and scientific personnel. In response, Iran delivered significant retaliatory strikes on Israeli targets. The United States subsequently attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities, which it claimed to have destroyed entirely. The international community widely condemned these actions as violations of international law and the U.N. Charter. Iran’s counterstrike on the U.S. al-Udeid airbase in Qatar prompted the U.S. to seek a ceasefire.
