Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi declared that Iran is more determined than ever to achieve a fair and balanced agreement. This comes amid the postponement of the fourth round of negotiations, which involved the Omani and American sides, due to logistical and technical reasons. Araqchi communicated these developments through a post on his X account, emphasizing that Iran's resolve to reach a negotiated solution remains steadfast.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araqchi stressed that Iran's goal is to secure an agreement that ensures the lifting of sanctions and builds confidence in the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, while also safeguarding Iran's rights. He reiterated Iran's unchanged commitment to this path, highlighting the nation's increased determination to reach a satisfactory conclusion.
Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei announced the rescheduling of the next round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States. Originally set to take place in Rome on May 3, 2025, the talks were postponed based on a proposal from the Omani foreign minister. Baqaei noted that further information regarding the rescheduling would be provided in due course.
Baqaei also reaffirmed Iran's dedication to employing diplomatic means to secure the legitimate and legal interests of the Iranian people. He underscored the importance of ending sanctions and economic pressures that adversely affect the rights and well-being of Iranians.
