Tehran: A new salvo of missiles and drones has been launched at targets in Israel amid continued Israeli aggression on Iran. As with previous rounds, and despite heavy Israeli censorship, footage began to appear of the Iranian missiles hitting their intended targets. Israeli media said a Rafael Advanced Defense Systems facility and Ben Gurion Airport had been hit. Shortly later, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (I.R.G.C.) in a press release confirmed the new wave of the punitive strikes.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the I.R.G.C. reported the death of the chief of its Intelligence Organization, Mohammad Kazemi, along with two of his colleagues, Hassan Mohaqeq and Mohsen Baqeri, due to Israeli strikes on Sunday. The I.R.G.C. stated that its Aerospace Force was targeting intelligence centers in Israel in response.
Israeli media further reported that missiles and drones had also been launched toward the occupied territories from Yemen. The conflict intensified after the Israeli regime initiated strikes inside Iranian territory on June 13, targeting residential areas and resulting in civilian casualties. The strikes were described as an unprovoked act of aggression, leading to the assassination of top Iranian military officials and affecting entire population centers.
In response, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei appointed new military commanders and vowed that life would become difficult for Israel. Iran subsequently commenced punitive strikes on major Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa. The situation has led to severe disruptions in the occupied territories, with Israelis seeking refuge in underground bomb shelters for extended periods.
Iranian authorities have declared that their military operations will persist as long as deemed necessary.
