Tehran: Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity for Iran to manage its international relations, including those with the United States, to support domestic development. During a meeting with former foreign ministers, Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of reducing tensions and fostering an environment conducive to interactions with both regional and global partners. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian noted that his administration has made significant strides in addressing various foreign policy challenges since taking office. He expressed satisfaction with Iran's current relations with neighboring countries, citing successful agreements achieved through meetings and discussions. The administration is also focused on expanding relations with all countries, including European nations, though recent Israeli actions have caused some disruptions in negotiations. Pezeshkian acknowledged the inevitability of engaging with the United States on both regional and international matters. He asserted that it is preferable for Iran to manage its relationship with the US proactively. Furthermore, Pezeshkian assured that his administration will conduct foreign affairs in alignment with the Islamic Republic's overarching strategies and approaches.
