Iran Prepares for Diplomacy and Military Action, Warns US to Choose Wisely

Tehran:Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that Iran is more prepared than ever for both diplomatic and military scenarios, emphasizing that the decision now lies with Washington. He urged the United States to opt for a 'wise path' of negotiation rather than repeating past military aggression mistakes.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi made these remarks upon returning from a trip to Turkmenistan. He noted that Iran has proposed a clear plan with fair conditions for a diplomatic resolution, with Doha and Islamabad acting as mediators through numerous phone calls and shuttle diplomacy efforts.

Araghchi warned that any military tests or deceptive actions by adversaries would provoke a response from Iran that would be harsher than previous reactions. He emphasized that Iran will not yield to coercion and reiterated that reopening the Strait of Hormuz and resuming talks depend on the unconditional acceptance of Iran's specified conditions.

During his visit to Turkmenistan, Araghchi highlighted the unchanging priority of strengthening ties with neighboring countries in Iran's foreign policy. The trip was described as productive, focusing on major bilateral projects in the energy, transit, and economic sectors, following agreements made at the CIS summit in Awaza.

Additionally, Araghchi briefed Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov on regional developments, the Iran-US negotiations, and the readiness of Iran's Armed Forces. He also referenced Ali Bagheri Kani's visit to Beijing for consultations as part of Tehran's ongoing strategic and security engagement with key partners.
