Nagoya:Iran's men's volleyball team triumphed over Japan in the final of the 2026 Asian Games, securing their fourth consecutive gold medal with a 3-1 victory on Saturday.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Iran overcame a second-set loss of 25-19 to win the first, third, and fourth sets by scores of 28-26, 25-21, and 26-24, respectively. This victory capped an unbeaten run through the tournament.

Iran's journey to the final included wins over Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, and Indonesia in the preliminary round, allowing them to top Group B with eight points. In the knockout stage, they continued their strong performance by defeating India and Pakistan.
