Iran Secures Second Place at Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships in Romania

Bucharest: The Iranian national Greco-Roman wrestling team has finished runner-up at the International Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania, on August 8-9.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian team claimed a total of seven medals, including three gold, three silver, and one bronze. Gold medals were secured by Sajad Abbaspour in the 60 kg category, Amir Abdi in the 77 kg category, and Amir Reza Akbari in the 97 kg category.

In the silver medal tally, Amir Reza Deh-Bozorgi competed in the 67 kg category, Amir Reza Moradian in the 97 kg category, and Abolfazl Mehmadi in the 82 kg category. Additionally, a bronze medal was won by Abolfazl Asgari in the 77 kg category.

With this strong performance, Iran placed second in the overall team standings at the championships.
