Tehran: Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian has called for 'broader and deeper' relations with the friendly neighboring country of Qatar. During a meeting Wednesday with visiting Qatari prime minister and foreign minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Pezeshkian urged the speedy implementation of agreements reached during his trip to Doha early last month. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian emphasized Iran's commitment to honoring its agreements, expressing a desire for full implementation of the mutual agreements. He stressed the importance of demonstrating unity within the Islamic world, highlighting the potential for peaceful coexistence based on mutual respect. The Iranian president also extended an invitation for the Emir of Qatar to visit Iran, reinforcing the desire for strengthened diplomatic ties. In response, the Qatari prime minister conveyed Qatar's eagerness to enhance relations with Iran. He mentioned that plans are underway for the Emir to visit Iran early ne xt year, affirming the Qatari government's commitment to bilateral agreements with Iran.
