Iran: Iran has deployed 36 specialized Red Crescent rescue and relief teams to Iraq to provide emergency services during funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society said on Tuesday.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pirhossein Kolivand reported that the teams had commenced their mission and would remain in Iraq until the ceremonies conclude and emergency support is no longer needed, as stated in a publication by the Iranian Red Crescent Society.

Kolivand further elaborated that the society has placed four medical clinics, along with its Imam Ali Hospital in Najaf, on full alert. These facilities, supported by 500 doctors, rescue workers, and volunteers, are prepared to deliver medical and emergency services to mourners attending the ceremonies in Najaf and Karbala.

Funeral and farewell ceremonies for Ayatollah Khamenei are scheduled to take place in the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala on Wednesday. The ceremonies will continue in the Iranian city of Mashhad on Thursday, followed by his burial at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).
