Iran Stands Firm Against Sanctions and Narrative Conflicts: Administration Spokesperson

Tehran: Administration spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani has declared that Iran stands firm against the war of narratives, sanctions, and doubts. Mohajerani made this statement on the social media platform X, marking the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr, a city in southwestern Khuzestan Province. This city was freed in 1982 during a large-scale military operation in the 8-year conflict with the now-toppled Iraqi Baath regime.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mohajerani emphasized the significance of the recapture of Khorramshahr on May 24, highlighting that it was driven by the belief in Iran's sovereignty. She stated, "We recaptured Khorramshahr on May 24, because we believed that Iran should remain." Her post underscored that Iran's current stance against the war of narratives, sanctions, and doubts is rooted in the same resolve that led to the historic military victory.

The spokesperson further elaborated that the liberation of Khorramshahr was not merely a military triumph but a historical commitment. This statement reflects Iran's ongoing resistance against external pressures and the narrative battles it faces on the international stage. Mohajerani's comments serve as a reminder of the enduring spirit and determination of the Iranian people, as they continue to confront challenges in the global arena.
