Iran Stands Firm on National Security and Sovereignty, Official Asserts

Beijing:Deputy Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Bagheri Kani has emphasized that the Islamic Republic will not compromise on its national security and sovereignty. This statement was made during a meeting with China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Bagheri Kani reiterated that Tehran's stance on defending its national security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity remains steadfast, with no room for compromise.

During the meeting, Bagheri Kani condemned the illegal US-Israeli actions against Iran, labeling them as an 'unforgettable' war crime. He specifically mentioned the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and his family members, labeling such acts as atrocities that should not be permitted to continue.

Bagheri Kani further highlighted the detrimental impact of the United States' militaristic and hegemonic policies, arguing that a war against an entire civilization cannot result in victory and would only serve to destabilize the global economy. He also noted discussions with the Chinese Foreign Minister about Tehran's diplomatic efforts to end ongoing conflicts and promote lasting security in the region.
