Iran Surpasses 1,000 MW Solar Installation Milestone, President Announces

Tehran: Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has revealed that the country has successfully installed over 1,000 megawatts of solar panels since his administration commenced more than a year ago. This initiative is a significant step in Iran’s efforts to achieve its renewable energy objectives.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian made this announcement during the National Industry and Mining Day ceremony held in Tehran on Tuesday. He emphasized the government’s ambitious target of producing at least 7,000 megawatts of solar energy. The president urged companies and financial institutions to play a crucial role in supporting the growth of the solar sector.

President Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of moving towards clean energy, stating that development is meaningless without access to energy. His administration’s focus on renewable energy is part of a broader strategy to enhance Iran’s energy security and reduce reliance on non-renewable resources.
