Iran: Iran's Foreign Ministry has issued a stern warning, stating that the nation will target the origins of any future attacks as well as bases and logistical facilities used to support military operations against it.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Foreign Ministry released a statement on Wednesday condemning recent US attacks on southern Iran. The ministry labeled these attacks as a blatant violation of the UN Charter and international law.

The statement detailed that the United States launched strikes in the early hours of Wednesday, responding to the reported downing of a US Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz earlier in the week. In what was described as a self-defense measure, Iran's Armed Forces conducted strikes against US bases and assets in the region, which were reportedly used as launch points for these attacks.

Tehran issued a caution to regional countries, particularly those along the southern shores of the Persian Gulf, warning them against allowing the United States or Israel to use their territories or facilities for operations against Iran. The ministry emphasized that Iran would exercise its 'inherent right of self-defense' by targeting both the sources of attacks and any bases or logistical centers supporting aggression against the country.

The statement further called on the United Nations, especially the Security Council and the secretary-general, to maintain international peace and hold the 'aggressor parties' accountable for their actions.

Earlier, US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that American forces had executed what it described as 'defensive' strikes against Iran, under orders from President Donald Trump, following the downing of a US Army Apache helicopter. Trump, in an interview with ABC News, confirmed the attacks and emphasized Washington's forceful response to the incident involving the helicopter.
