Iran Warns of Decisive Response to New IAEA Resolution Plans.

Tehran: Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Mohammad Eslami has issued a warning that Iran will respond decisively to any new resolution against the country by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This statement was made clear during a session with the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, as Ebrahim Rezaei, the commission's spokesman, informed reporters. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rezaei conveyed that Eslami had emphasized Iran's commitment to its peaceful nuclear program, which aligns with the Strategic Action Plan to Counter Sanctions law passed in 2020. This law underlines Iran's intention to pursue its nuclear ambitions peacefully, despite pressures from European powers who are reportedly advocating for a new IAEA resolution to increase pressure on Tehran. Eslami stressed Iran's openness to interaction and dialogue, contingent upon reciprocal engagement from other involved parties. Rezaei also highlighted Eslami's remarks regarding IAEA Direc tor General Rafael Grossi's recent inspection trip to Iran, noting that inspections were conducted according to Iran's internal protocols. In the same context, Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the commission, cautioned Grossi against being influenced by 'adversaries of peace and security' who might attempt to divert the IAEA from its technical and professional responsibilities. Azizi urged Grossi to adhere to the commitments he made during his recent visit to Tehran, reflecting Iran's expectation for an unbiased and professionally committed stance from the IAEA.
