Tehran: Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Major General Mohammad Pakpour, has issued a stern warning, stating that any miscalculation by adversaries in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, or on Iranian islands will be met with a prompt and decisive response.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the general’s remarks were made on Wednesday in a message commemorating the National Day of the IRGC Naval Force, which was released by the IRGC’s news agency, Sepah News. He emphasized the strategic and deterrent power of the IRGC Naval Force, highlighting its role in maintaining security in the Persian Gulf region by showcasing strength to Iran’s adversaries.

The IRGC operates under the Islamic Republic’s defensive-offensive doctrine, maintaining a high level of combat, intelligence, and operational readiness. Pakpour warned that any aggression would be met with a strong response, reiterating that any miscalculation in the region would lead to a decisive, swift, crushing, and regret-inducing reaction.

Pakpour also noted that the IRGC Naval Force is committed to safeguarding Iran’s national and regional security while contributing to a maritime order that upholds justice and protects nations’ independence and power against global arrogance.
