Tehran: Iran's top security official has issued a stern warning, indicating that Tehran will view any country's participation in or support for America's economic pressure campaign against the Iranian people as an act of war. Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, emphasized this stance in a statement made on X, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rezaei declared that if the economic war persists, Iran will ensure that not a single drop of oil will be exported through the Strait of Hormuz or any other route in the Persian Gulf. This pronouncement echoes a warning Rezaei issued the previous day to the US and its regional allies.

In a televised interview on Saturday, Rezaei reiterated that any nation participating in the US economic war would be perceived as an 'enemy' by Tehran. He further emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and will only reopen once the United States fulfills its commitments under a peace memorandum of understanding signed between Tehran and Washington in June, insisting that Washington must take the first step.
