Iran Warns U.S. and Israel Against Military Adventurism

New York: Iranian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amir-Saeed Iravani has issued a stern warning in a letter to the U.N. Security Council, emphasizing that any military adventurism by the United States or its ally, the Israeli regime, will be met with a swift, proportionate, and legitimate response.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the letter from Ambassador Iravani highlights concerns over recent statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Both officials had issued warnings to Iran, accusing it of supporting Yemen's Ansarullah actions and threatening retaliatory measures. Iravani's letter firmly rejects these accusations, labeling them as unfounded, provocative, and politically motivated.

The Iranian envoy's message underscores the Islamic Republic's position that the actions of the Yemeni people are independent and a sovereign response to aggression, emphasizing that attempts to link these actions to Iran are deliberate misrepresentations. The letter also calls on the U.N. Security Council to condemn the threatening statements from the U.S. and Israeli officials and to demand respect for international obligations.

The letter reiterates Iran's commitment to regional peace and stability while affirming its right to defend its sovereignty and national interests. It warns that any unlawful threat or use of force by the U.S. or Israel will result in a decisive response, holding them accountable for the consequences of any aggressive actions.
