Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his French counterpart, Jean-Noel Barrot, engaged in a phone conversation on Sunday to discuss the latest developments concerning the ceasefire and ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the US-Israeli imposed war on Iran.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi provided Barrot with an update on the situation in the West Asia region and highlighted the significance of European nations adopting a constructive role in halting the aggression against the Islamic Republic. The French Foreign Minister reaffirmed France's support for a diplomatic approach aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region.
Both foreign ministers agreed on the importance of continuing bilateral consultations and engaging with other regional parties. Araghchi, who is currently in Islamabad as part of his three-nation tour, has been in discussions with various counterparts over the past two days, updating them on the tensions following the US-Israeli attacks on Iran and efforts mediated by Pakistan to end the conflict.
