Baghdad:Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq met with Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, head of Iraq's Construction and Development Coalition, to discuss mutual ties and US sanctions.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the discussions focused on the bilateral relations between Iran and Iraq, as well as the impact of US sanctions on Iranian airlines, particularly concerning the rights of Iraqi patients and students residing in Iran.

During the meeting, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani emphasized Iraq's intention to strengthen and develop its relations with Iran and other regional countries. He also advocated for dialogue and de-escalation in regional crises.

The Iranian ambassador commended Iraq for its efforts in bringing viewpoints closer and facilitating regional dialogue.
