Iranian and Omani Foreign Ministers Discuss Maritime Security and Regional Issues

Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Omani counterpart engaged in a telephone conversation to deliberate on key issues of mutual interest. The discussion centered around recent regional developments and the critical topic of maritime security.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the conversation between Araghchi and Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi occurred on Friday evening. The two diplomats focused on the security of maritime navigation and commercial shipping transit in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. This dialogue followed proportional and reciprocal actions by the Islamic Republic Armed Forces in response to American activities perceived as aggressive.

The ministers highlighted the necessity of maintaining maritime security and explored regional solutions and cooperative measures to prevent the escalation of tensions. They emphasized the importance of establishing peace, stability, and security in the region through collaborative efforts.
