Accra:Iran's Army spokesman has announced that new operational strategies are being developed that will soon force American vessels to retreat even further from Iran's coastline, currently over 500 kilometers away.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia commented on the historical context of US actions against the Islamic Republic following the country's Islamic Revolution. He noted that, unable to halt the Revolution, the US engaged in various conspiracies against Iran, targeting its armed forces in multiple domains, including political and cultural arenas.
Akraminia highlighted the ongoing hybrid war against Iran, emphasizing the military dimension, which he described as the most evident and tangible aspect. He countered claims by former US President Donald Trump regarding the destruction of Iran's defense capabilities, asserting that recent incidents, such as the downing of American drones by Iranian air defenses, demonstrate Iran's enduring military strength.
He further elaborated on Iran's strategic control over regional waters, stating that the IRGC Navy dominates from the west of the Strait of Hormuz to the Persian Gulf, while the Iranian Navy oversees the east of the Strait of Hormuz, the Sea of Oman, the Arabian Sea, and the northern Indian Ocean. Akraminia disputed claims of US control over the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that the US military avoids approaching it.
The Iranian spokesman attributed current insecurities in the Strait of Hormuz to American interventions and reiterated that lasting peace and stability in the region are contingent upon the cessation of US presence and activities.
