Iranian Culture Minister Comments on US Midterm Election Results

Tehran:Iran's Culture Minister Abbas Salehi has expressed his views regarding the recent US midterm election results, highlighting the opposition among young American voters to certain foreign policies.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Salehi stated that the election outcomes were notable not because of any expectations from American politicians or parties, but due to the growing awareness and human conscience among younger generations in the West. He emphasized that young voters largely opposed President Donald Trump's 'war policies' and the 'child-killing actions' of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Salehi's remarks followed the US midterm elections, where Democrats regained control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, marking a significant setback for Trump's Republican Party. Factors such as dissatisfaction with the rising cost of living, the Trump administration's economic policies, and aggressive actions towards Iran were influential in shaping voter behavior during the elections.
