Sirik: Iranian Deputy Parliament Speaker Ali Nikzad has condemned a US attack on a wedding ceremony in Kuhestak, Sirik County, describing it as a continuation of the attacks on Minab and Lamerd on February 28, 2026, and saying Washington is seeking to disrupt everyday life in Iran. Addressing a virtual parliamentary session on Wednesday, Nikzad emphasized the importance of national unity and public calm in the face of military pressure and aggression.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Nikzad urged that Iran's Parliament and government must work to strengthen hope, prevent social polarization, and ensure that the country's resistance is mirrored in economic conditions, employment, housing, healthcare, and production. He highlighted that Iran's strength is not only in its military capabilities but also in its people, scientists, workers, farmers, teachers, doctors, engineers, and entrepreneurs.

He further elaborated on the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that its circumstances would not return to the pre-war era and that there was no military solution to the issue. Nikzad reiterated his condemnation of the attack on the wedding ceremony, asserting that such actions would only serve to bolster national unity and resistance.

In concluding his address, Nikzad called for enhanced economic foundations alongside defense capabilities. Lawmakers present at the session expressed their deep resentment over the US acts of aggression against Iran, aligning with Nikzad's sentiments and calls for resilience.
