Iranian Diplomatic Efforts Focus on Strengthening Islamic Solidarity in Lisbon.

Lisbon: Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, engaged in significant diplomatic talks with his counterparts from Tunisia and Algeria on the sidelines of the 10th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in Lisbon, Portugal. The meetings emphasized the need for bolstering interaction and cooperation among neighboring and Islamic countries, amidst pressing regional and international challenges.According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during his meeting with Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar, Araghchi highlighted the importance of enhancing unity and collaboration within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The discussions centered around expanding bilateral relations and addressing the latest regional and international developments. Araghchi underscored the Islamic Republic's commitment to fostering stronger ties with neighboring nations and Islamic states.In a separate meeting with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, Araghchi articulated the necessity of fo rming a coalition to address the Zionist regime's aggression against Palestine. The two diplomats reviewed bilateral ties and explored ways to further develop relations in economic, commercial, cultural, and diplomatic fields. They also discussed the ongoing conflict in Gaza and Lebanon, stressing the importance of coordinated Islamic action to end the violence.Araghchi expressed gratitude towards Algeria for its steadfast support of the Palestinian cause, particularly in international forums like the UN Security Council and the OIC. He called for global action to hold the Zionist regime accountable and to cease arms sales to the regime. The Algerian Foreign Minister echoed these sentiments, advocating for increased cooperation among Islamic nations to counter the Zionist regime's expansionist policies.
