Iranian Foreign Minister Commends Nation’s Resilience Amid Israeli Attack

Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi declared that Iran is a land of great men and women who are undeterred by death and cannot be defeated, owing to the Islamic teachings they have embraced.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araqchi’s statement came a day after Israel targeted a building of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (I.R.I.B.) in Tehran. During the strike, news anchor Sahar Emami was live on air but quickly returned to continue broadcasting, demonstrating remarkable composure and courage under pressure.

Araqchi condemned the attack as brutal and lauded Emami for her bravery. “Last night at the height of the Zionist regime’s brutal attack on the national broadcaster, a brave Iranian woman stood before the camera fearlessly, resolutely, and patriotically. She was the voice of Iran,” Araqchi stated in a message shared via the official Telegram page of the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

He also praised the other staff members of the national television for their courage, emphasizing that Iran is the birthplace of honorable men and women who regard death as inferior to their sense of honor. Araqchi attributed the nation’s resilience to the teachings about the bravery of the third Shia imam, Imam Hossein (PBUH), which have been instilled in Iranian citizens since childhood.

The Israeli strike on the national television resulted in the deaths of at least two individuals, a news editor and an employee at the I.R.I.B. secretariat.
