Tehran:Iranian lawmaker Ebrahim Rezaei has described the US-Israeli attacks on Iran as a crime against the region's civilization, culture, and history.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rezaei made these remarks at the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, emphasizing that the attacks were more than just military assaults. He stated that they targeted Iran's security and territorial integrity, as well as regional peace and stability.

Rezaei detailed that the attacks included extensive air strikes on civilian infrastructure, scientific, educational, research, and medical facilities, alongside valuable cultural and historical heritage sites. He argued that these actions, coupled with the loss of thousands of civilian lives, extended beyond military confrontation, representing a wider assault on regional civilization and humanity.

He also noted the damage caused to Iran but highlighted the significant response from Iran's armed forces. Rezaei called for increased collective vigilance and solidarity among Asian countries, warning that new security threats were jeopardizing regional stability and cooperation.
