Iranian Leaders Applaud U-17 Volleyball Team’s Global Triumph

Tehran: Iranian officials, including President Masoud Pezeshkian and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, have extended their congratulations to Iran's Under-17 Boys' National Volleyball Team for securing the world championship title.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian praised the team's outstanding performance, acknowledging the players, coaches, technical staff, and their families. He highlighted the team's victory at the World Championships in Qatar as a testament to the Iranian youth's talent, determination, and capabilities. Pezeshkian emphasized that when opportunities are provided to the younger generation, they can achieve remarkable success on the global stage.

Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf echoed these sentiments, celebrating the team's decisive win over France in the final match. He noted that this accomplishment has once again elevated Iran's status in the world of volleyball, symbolized by the national flag flying high over the Persian Gulf. Ghalibaf commended the youth for demonstrating that a combination of knowledge, technical skill, national pride, and determination can conquer any challenge, and he expressed his hope for a bright future for the players.

In a separate statement, Major General Ahmad Vahidi, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, also congratulated the team. He acknowledged the players' unwavering resolve and efforts, which prevailed despite external pressures, and celebrated the revival of the 'We Can' spirit within the team.
