_:President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the 81st United Nations General Assembly, emphasizing Iran's stance on self-defense in response to what he described as an imposed war. He assured that Iran remains open to peace negotiations while resolutely defending itself.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian criticized the United States and Israel for their attacks on Iran, accusing them of targeting civilians and violating international laws. He recounted instances of bombings in Iranian cities, including Minab and Lamerd, where children and civilians were affected.

Pezeshkian highlighted the theme of "Rebuilding Trust" for the session, pointing out perceived double standards in international relations. He noted that while Israel possesses nuclear weapons, Iran is subject to inspections, portraying this as a significant imbalance.

He called for a consistent application of international law and equal treatment of nations to prevent a world dominated by the politics of force. Pezeshkian emphasized Iran's commitment to defending itself without fostering hatred, advocating for peace and cooperation in the region.

The president concluded by rejecting threats from the US, asserting that such actions would only strengthen Iranian unity and resistance. He reiterated Iran's openness to dialogue but refused to submit to the language of force.
