Zahedan:President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that Iranian security forces will remain steadfast in their mission despite recent terrorist activities, following the assassination of a senior police official in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian expressed his condolences over the death of Nosrat Eftekhari, deputy for cultural and social affairs at the provincial police command. Eftekhari was killed in a roadside bombing on the Cheshmeh Ziarat road in Zahedan.

The president stated that these "blind terrorist acts" are designed to create insecurity and disrupt public peace. He emphasized that such actions only highlight the criminal nature of those who perpetrate them.

Pezeshkian called on relevant agencies to thoroughly investigate the crime and swiftly identify those responsible. He assured that these acts will not deter the security forces' commitment to protecting the nation and combating terrorism with determination and firmness.
