Tehran: Shahin Banitalebi, an Iranian athlete, has been recognized as the best Taolu practitioner globally in 2025 through the International Wushu Federation's voting process. Banitalebi's achievement marks a significant milestone as he was named 'World's Top Taolu Player' for the year 2025 by the World Wushu Federation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) concluded the 2025 calendar year by introducing candidates for the best wushu athletes of the year. The world's best wushu athletes for 2025 were officially announced following a public vote organized by the IWUF.

The IWUF Athletes Committee conducted a thorough review of the candidates' performances for the Best Wushu Athlete of the Year, leading to Banitalebi's nomination for the Best Taolu Player of 2025 award. Despite facing strong competition from Chinese taolu athletes, Banitalebi emerged victorious in the public vote, securing his title as the world's top taolu player for 2025.

In the same year, Banitalebi showcased his exceptional skills by winning a gold medal at the Chengdu World Games and a bronze medal at the World Wushu Championships. His accomplishments have firmly established him as a leading figure in the global wushu community.
