Qom: The mourning ceremony for the fifth day of the month of Muharram was held with the presence of a large number of devotees of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (PBUH), at the Payambar-e Azam (Great Prophet) Zurkhaneh, a traditional Iranian-style gym, in the holy city of Qom on June 20, 2026.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the ceremony was marked by the participation of many who gathered to honor the anniversary of Imam Hussein's martyrdom. The event is an important occasion for Shia Muslims, who commemorate the sacrifice of Imam Hussein during the month of Muharram, a period of reflection and mourning.
