Siena:Acting Defense Minister Brigadier General Majid Ibn al-Reza has cautioned that those who promote civilizational confrontation must be ready to face its serious consequences. He highlighted that such actions could eventually impact those who incite them.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ibn al-Reza made these remarks while meeting with leaders from several industrial organizations within the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics. He addressed recent comments by U.S. officials regarding Iran and its civilization, noting that transforming historical and cultural differences into political and military conflicts is a significant misjudgment.
Ibn al-Reza emphasized the deep historical roots of Iran's civilization and its substantial contributions to global scientific, cultural, and intellectual heritage. He stated that Iran is committed to using its scientific, industrial, and defense capabilities to protect its heritage and the right of its people to determine their future.
He further asserted that Iran will not permit threats or insults to compromise its national identity or independence. The country's response, he noted, will be guided by scientific and industrial advancements, national confidence, and comprehensive defense readiness.
Ibn al-Reza likened promoting civilizational confrontation to playing with fire, warning that those who instigate it cannot manage its spread or shield themselves from its repercussions.
