Tehran:Defense Minister Mehrdad Akhlaghi has announced plans to enhance Iran's combat power, emphasizing the country's readiness to respond to threats without geographic limitations. This move aims to strengthen smart combat readiness and align with the Leader's strategy for swift, effective, and proportionate responses to any threats.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the ministry is focusing on the strategic directives issued by Ayatollah Seyyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. These directives have set the roadmap for Iran's defense strategy, emphasizing the need to safeguard the nation's security, independence, and authority.

Key actions include accelerating the design, production, and supply of defense equipment, strengthening industrial and technological infrastructure, and enhancing support capabilities for the armed forces. Akhlaghi warned that any aggression against Iran's national security will be met with a decisive response, not dictated by external threats.

The Defense Ministry plans to implement these measures by leveraging Iranian specialists, defense industries, knowledge-based companies, and human capital, in collaboration with the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Akhlaghi affirmed the nation's readiness and determination to defend its security and interests.
