Iran’s ISC and Russia’s Mining University Forge Scientometric Partnership

Saint petersburg: The President of the Islamic World Science and Technology Monitoring and Citation Institute (ISC), Mohammad-Mehdi Alavian Mehr, and the Rector of Saint Petersburg Mining University, Vladimir Litvinenko, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a center for scientometric studies.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Alavian Mehr engaged in discussions and signed the MoU with Litvinenko during his visit to Saint Petersburg Mining University. This collaboration marks a significant step in the academic and scientific relations between Iran and Russia.

The agreement outlines a joint cooperation program between ISC and Saint Petersburg Mining University for the 2025-2026 academic year. A key component of this program is the establishment of the ‘Regional Russia-Iran Center for Scientometric Studies,’ which aims to foster a collaborative network of experts.

The newly established center will focus on creating an accredited network of experts specializing in strategic fields and critical industries. This initiative is expected to enhance scientific research and collaboration between the two countries, paving the way for future academic and industrial advancements.
