Tehran: Hasan Ghashghavi, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, has raised concerns about the United States' inability to differentiate between military targets and civilian sites following a recent US attack on a wedding ceremony in Sirik, Hormuzgan Province.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghashghavi voiced his concerns in a post on X, responding to the US attack on the coastal city of Sirik that occurred the previous night. He questioned how the US, which claims its satellite technology can monitor even the smallest movements on Earth, fails to distinguish between military targets and civilian locations such as schools or wedding ceremonies.

Ghashghavi further accused the United States and its allies of a longstanding pattern of bombings and missile attacks on defenseless populations, leaving the legitimacy of their actions to be assessed by fact-finding committees. The US attacks on Tuesday night in Hormuzgan Province targeted areas including Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Jask, and Qeshm. Among the sites hit were a residential area and a wedding ceremony in Sirik County, resulting in the deaths of at least five people and injuries to dozens more.
