Shiraz:The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) has showcased its products and technological advancements at Shiraz Expo 2026, emphasizing export possibilities in healthcare, agriculture, and nuclear medicine. The event, held at the Fars Province International Exhibition Center, runs from October 11 to October 16, 2026.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, AEOI's exhibit at the Hafez Hall features various technologies such as irradiation systems for agricultural pest control and food decontamination, devices for strengthening industrial products, and cold plasma technology for wound treatment. The organization also highlights its diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, nuclear measurement equipment, and methods for exploring radioactive mineral resources.
Four affiliated companies are participating in the expo, each with specialized products. One company focuses on radiation applications for pest control and is set to inaugurate a new facility in Darab soon. Another company showcases cold plasma devices, with fifteen clinics using this technology for wound care already operational across Iran. Interest from countries like Russia, Afghanistan, and other Arab nations was noted by representatives at the exhibition.
AEOI's radiopharmaceuticals, claimed to be exclusively produced domestically, are used in over 260 centers nationwide. Their nuclear measurement equipment has drawn attention from industries in the Persian Gulf, while Afghan traders have shown interest in airborne geophysics for mineral exploration, indicating potential for future collaborations.
Organizers report that the expo, covering 25,000 square meters and featuring the Art Expo event for the first time, has opened promising business opportunities despite the country's challenging conditions.
