Tehran:Major General Ahmad Vahidi, the Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has commended Iran's Law Enforcement Command, known as FARAJA, for its significant role in ensuring national security. He described the police force as powerful, professional, and supported by the public.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Vahidi expressed his appreciation in a message on Saturday, congratulating Police Chief Brigadier General Ahmadreza Radan and other police commanders, managers, and personnel on the occasion of Police Week, which begins on Monday, October 5.
The message highlighted FARAJA's efforts in enhancing social security and stability throughout Iran, emphasizing its collaboration with the Armed Forces and other security bodies. Vahidi noted that this year's Police Week slogan reflects a strategic commitment to linking police services with national security and strengthening the relationship between the police and the public.
Vahidi also paid tribute to the martyrs, veterans, and disabled veterans of FARAJA, honoring their sacrifices during the eight-year conflict with Iraq in the 1980s, as well as in later conflicts and security operations. He described their contributions as crucial in maintaining security and order.
The IRGC commander further praised the efforts of FARAJA personnel in tackling organized crime, smuggling, and economic offenses. He acknowledged their combination of authority and Islamic compassion as key elements in providing security for Iranian society.
Vahidi concluded his message by wishing continued success to Radan and all FARAJA personnel, emphasizing the importance of guidance from Iran's religious and political leadership.
