Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Intercept Six Vessels in Strait of Hormuz

Tehran: Iran's Revolutionary Guards navy has reportedly stopped six vessels attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz through routes not approved by Iranian authorities, as reported by Iran's state television on Monday.

According to Deutsche Welle, the vessels were intercepted overnight after they tried to navigate routes outside those designated by Iran. The report detailed that the IRGC Navy fired warning shots before compelling the vessels to turn back.

Earlier, state television had mentioned an unspecified "incident" involving one vessel but did not provide further details. This recent action mirrors a similar incident on Saturday when the Revolutionary Guards claimed they stopped four vessels attempting to transit the southern part of the strait, also following warning shots.
