Muscat: Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani has held a significant meeting with Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq to discuss regional and international developments. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the meeting between Larijani and Sultan Haitham took place in Muscat, the capital of Oman, and lasted for nearly three hours. The discussions aimed at addressing the latest developments in the region and exploring avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation between Iran and Oman. Following the meeting with the Sultan, Larijani engaged in talks with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi. These discussions are part of Larijani's official visit to Oman, which he undertook with a senior delegation to conduct talks with Omani officials. Upon Larijani's arrival at Muscat Airport, he was received by Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, the Minister of the Royal Office of the Sultanate of Oman. The visit comes in the wake of the first round of new indirect talks betwe en the United States and Iran on nuclear and sanctions-related issues, which were hosted by Muscat on Friday.
