Tehran: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has stated that China's dismissal of the recent US sanctions against Iran underscores the robust strategic partnership between the two nations, which transcends ordinary international alliances.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf expressed on his X account that Iran and China are committed to strengthening their ties based on a 25-year partnership program established in March 2021. This statement followed a declaration by a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson, who emphasized Beijing's resolve to safeguard its rights and interests in response to the United States' announcement of the so-called 'D-Day' economic sanctions on Iran.

Ghalibaf further highlighted that the Iran-China comprehensive strategic partnership is anchored in mutual respect, cooperative gains, and a collective vision for a multipolar world. He asserted that the relationship between the two countries does not require approval from any third party. Ghalibaf, who also functions as Iran's special envoy for China affairs, emphasized the independence and strategic nature of the bilateral relationship.
