Haikou: Iran’s U18 boys’ volleyball team has defeated South Korea in its fourth match at the Asian Championship, advancing to the semifinals and securing a berth at the 2027 World Championship.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the first knockout stage of the 2026 Asian U18 Boys’ Volleyball Championship took place on Thursday, July 16, at the Wuyuan River Sports Hall in Haikou, China. Eight matches were held, with Iran facing South Korea in a critical match.

Iran triumphed over South Korea with a 3-1 victory, securing their qualification for the 2027 World Championship. Although the team lost the third set 25-11, they claimed the first, second, and fourth sets with scores of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-18, respectively.
