Iran’s Zarif Appeals to Global Jewish Community Against Zionism.

Tehran: Iran's Deputy President for Strategic Affairs, Mohammad Javad Zarif, has reached out to the global Jewish community with a message emphasizing Iran's peaceful foreign policy towards all believers of divine religions. In his address, Zarif criticized Zionism as an ideology contrary to the Ten Commandments and urged the Jewish people to protect the Abrahamic faith from what he described as Zionist distortions, aggression, racial discrimination, and genocide. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Zarif began his message with greetings of peace to followers of all religions, particularly addressing Jewish people worldwide. He highlighted Iran's historical legacy of tolerance and coexistence, citing examples such as the liberation of Jews from Babylonian captivity over 2,600 years ago, providing refuge to Jews during World War II, and supporting displaced communities in the region. Zarif condemned Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu for opposing the nuclear deal, which he claimed could have ushered in a new era of peace and cooperation. He accused Netanyahu and his allies of perpetuating conflict and committing crimes against humanity, resulting in the loss of over 50,000 civilian lives, including over 10,000 children. In his concluding remarks, Zarif described Zionism as an expansionist secular movement that exploits Judaism for colonial and racist purposes. He called upon Jewish communities to resist and oppose Zionist actions, asserting that such movements pose a threat to the dignity and security of Jewish people. Zarif urged continued support for the victims of Zionism and emphasized the importance of preserving the true essence of the Abrahamic faith.
