Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia discussed opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations and partnerships between the two countries in various fields. A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Safia Al-Suhail, met with the Chairman of the Iraqi-Saudi Brotherhood and Friendship Committee, MP Shalan Al-Karim, and his accompanying delegation, The Saudi Minister of Commerce, Majid Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Chairman of the Coordination Council on the Saudi side. During the meeting, according to the statement, the legislative efforts made in the Iraqi Parliament to frame cooperation between the two countries were reviewed, and opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations and partnerships between the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various fields were discussed The ongoing preparations in Baghdad to host the meetings of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council in the last quarter of this year were also discussed.
