Iraqi Ambassador Bids Farewell to Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi

Tehran: Nasir Abdul Mohsen Abdullah, the ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Iran, met with Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, to bid farewell at the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in the country. During the meeting, the Iraqi diplomat expressed his gratitude for the cooperation he received from the Iranian Foreign Ministry throughout his tenure. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi emphasized the special importance of the relationship between the two friendly neighboring countries and commended the fruitful efforts of the Iraqi ambassador during his ten-year mission in Iran aimed at strengthening bilateral relations. In a separate meeting, Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri-Moghadam also engaged in discussions with Foreign Minister Araghchi. Amiri-Moghadam provided an update on the status of bilateral relations and outlined the embassy's plans to further enhance ties between the two neighboring Muslim countries. During the session, Araghchi expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the government and people of Pakistan during President Masoud Pezeshkian's recent visit. The foreign minister highlighted the productive discussions held with senior Pakistani officials and reiterated Iran's commitment to the comprehensive development of relations with Pakistan under the policy of good neighborliness. Furthermore, he underscored the common positions and active participation of both Iran and Pakistan in regional and international forums, deeming continuous consultations between the two countries essential for safeguarding mutual interests and contributing to regional security and stability. Additionally, Iran's newly appointed Ambassador to Serbia Mohammad-Sadegh Fazli met with Foreign Minister Araghchi before his departure for his diplomatic mission. During the meeting, Ambassador Fazli outlined his proposed plans to strengthen bilateral relations between Tehran and Belgrade. Araghchi expressed his best wishes for Fazli's success in Serbia and emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation with Balkan countries, particularly Serbia. Fazli had served as an advisor to the foreign minister, the director general of the ministerial office, and the director general for West Asia and North Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
