Tehran: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced the destruction of a missile-defense radar system and the striking of an F-15 fighter jet inside a shelter at a United States base in Jordan. This action was reportedly in retaliation against what the IRGC describes as continuous US aggression towards Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC's Aerospace Force executed this attack as part of the 24th wave of their Operation Nasr-2, also known as Victory 2. The operation targeted the US military installation in Jordan using missiles, aiming to eliminate enemy radar and air-defense systems to pave the way for more extensive missile and drone operations in the future.

The IRGC statement detailed that an air-defense radar system and an F-15 fighter jet housed within its designated shelter were both destroyed in the attack. The force further issued a warning to US troops about maintaining their military presence in the region.

The statement emphasized that the area is deemed unsuitable for what the IRGC terms as "American aggressors," urging the US military to withdraw to prevent further casualties.
